Actress Christy Carlson Romano, star of Disney Channel series , said that she was shot in the face. The 40-year-old American shared her face after the shooting accident on Instagram (the owner of the Meta company is recognized as extremist in Russia and is banned).
According to Romano, the accident occurred at her husband’s birthday party when the actress was shooting clay pigeons. The woman showed purple bruises and swelling around her injured right eye, as well as cuts on her forehead and cheek.
“I almost lost the sight in my right eye. I was shot in the face, guys. I was shot in the face with a BB gun or an air pistol,” she shared.
Doctors were unable to remove all the fragments.
“I have metal in my skull now – lead. It went through the skin and got into the soft tissue of the eye,” she added.
Romano considers it a miracle that his vision was preserved.
“It’s been three weeks since I was shot in the face and my life has changed completely. I feel more grateful than I’ve ever felt in my life and I’m really healing. Every day is a gift. I used to hold back on sharing the things I loved for fear of being judged. Now I just don’t care,” she concluded.
