Police officers detained a 24-year-old resident of the Saratov region, suspected of a daring robbery of a jewelry store. This was reported by the UMVD of the Ulyanovsk region.
At night, a criminal smashed a jewelry store window with a brick, stole jewelry worth one and a half million rubles, and fled. The suspect in the robbery was quickly detained in Saransk ; he turned out to be a 24-year-old unemployed resident of the Saratov region.
The man admitted that he came to Ulyanovsk to commit a crime. A criminal case of theft has been opened on the fact of the incident; the Saratov resident could face up to five years in prison.
Earlier it was reported that in the Khostinsky district of Sochi , a criminal, threatening a salesperson with a knife, stole the proceeds from the cash register of a grocery store. Threatening the salesperson, the criminal jumped behind the counter, opened the cash register and collected all the proceeds in the amount of 17 thousand rubles. After the daring robbery, the unknown person disappeared, and the employee of the store called the police. The suspect in the robbery was detained, he turned out to be a previously convicted 42-year-old local resident. A criminal case has been opened on the fact of the incident, the attacker may face up to 10 years in prison.
